CommentsInteresting site ! I'm a Gronoff from France, of Russian origins (Kuban, Caucasius). The name comes from a dialectal word that means "vinetree", and I have some related in Finland. regis.gronoff@laposte.net

CommentsIt is a beautiful site. I stumbled across it since I was looking for the name Puppius. You mention that the family was also called Puppius, but do you have any more specifics on that? My information on the Puppius family goes back to Wilhelmus Puppius "van Puppenbach, Steinkoul ende Erckrath", born in Dusseldorf around 1544, reverend in Duisburg and Edam. His father was Gerardus Puppius, possibly also a reverend. His wife was Mechteld Worms, daughter of Herman Worms, apothecary in Nijmegen. Erik Mostert e.mostert@citg.tudelft.nl |
